Must-have skills

Job Description: Are you interested in working on cutting-edge connectivity devices and being at the forefront of technology innovation? Do you have a passion for finding elusive bugs and ensuring sufficient test coverage to reach production-worthy devices? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as a Validation Engineer. As an engineer in the USB and Networking Validation Team, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced connectivity devices, including Ethernet switches, USB 3.2 hubs, PCI-Express, and other connectivity interfaces exceeding 25Gbps. You will be responsible for developing validation and test plan documentation based on datasheets, and by thinking beyond the design implementation, you will find elusive bugs and ensure sufficient test coverage to reach a production-worthy device. You will also have the opportunity to work with Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and Applications Engineering to validate new silicon products. You will work in the lab to replicate customer issues and interface directly with field engineers to root cause a customer problem. Additionally, you will lead small teams to achieve program goals on firm timelines and manage resolution of silicon issues found during product life cycle. Requirements/Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organization skills, and the ability to develop hardware design specifications based on input from multiple stakeholders and specifications. You should also have a working knowledge of electronics lab equipment, e.g., oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and protocol analyzer. If you have experience in programmatic control of automated test environments, IC device characterization, understanding of USB (USB3.0, USB2.0), USB Power Delivery, Ethernet (10/100/1G/10G/25G), Flash Media Standards, PCIe, and hardware development (schematic design, PCB prototyping), it would be an added advantage.
