Northrop Grumman is seeking a Engineer/Principal Engineer Test. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do
Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems division in Roy, UT is seeking a Staff Systems Test Engineer to be a Deputy Test Lead Engineer with a Test Director focus. This position will be part of our Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Integration and Test (I&T) team to plan and execute vehicle level integration, test and checkout activities supporting the Sentinel, formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), program.
What You’ll Get To Do
Define test requirements and test objectives, using Systems Engineering principles Assist the team in the development of integration and test documentation (test plans, test procedures and test reports) Participate in the execution of the integration, test, and assembly of the AVE in preparation for developmental flight testing Integrate hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements teams, and the system and segment level teams Work with management to establish test schedules and resource management framework for execution of tests Architect, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of integration and test activities Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Engineer Test: 02 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 00 Years with Masters or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Principal Engineer Test: 05 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 03 Years with Masters; 00 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree. Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
U. S. Citizen and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering Experience with Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo Experience with RTCF Experience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, JIRA) Tactical or Strategic Missile experience Test Director or Test Conductor experience in DOD our aerospace fields Demonstrated ability to lead/manage a project including task development, scheduling, tracking, reporting status Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Proven capable of being organized, efficient, and handling multiple tasks while paying attention to detail
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
