In this role, you’ll design and run automated and manual tests, perform in-depth analyses, and deliver certification-ready data in compliance with DO-178C. As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for

Develop and execute automated and manual tests to verify embedded software against system requirements.
Perform detailed software analyses, including timing, memory, structural coverage, and data/control coupling.
Generate and maintain certification-ready lifecycle data in compliance with DO-178C Level A, including test cases, procedures, and results.
Collaborate with the software development team to review outputs and ensure software quality and compliance.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear documentation and reporting on software verification activities.

Required Qualifications

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in embedded software verification in highly regulated environments.
Mastery of C and common test scripting languages.
Experience with real-time systems, built-in-test, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, and bare-metal development.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI.
Strong understanding of software configuration management and modern build, integration, and test methodologies.
Comfortable reading electrical schematics, technical documentation, and datasheets.
Strong team, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with STMicroelectronics ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers.
Deep understanding of DO-178C and its supplements.
Knowledge of ARP 4754A/4761 processes and software certification workflows.
Familiarity with tools such as Polarion ALM, Git, Subversion, and G-Suite.
