Automation Engineer – Associate Analyst

Position Overview

Evernorth Core Platform Engineering team is seeking an enthusiastic Automation Engineer – Associate Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to start their career in automation engineering and quality assurance. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn, contribute, and grow in a high-performance enterprise technology environment.

As an Associate Analyst, you will assist in developing and executing test strategies for Web & Mobile applications, support automation initiatives, and gain hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in automation, CI/CD, and agile practices.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing and executing test cases for web and mobile applications under guidance. Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for UI, API, and mobile platforms. Perform manual and exploratory testing when required to ensure product quality. Help troubleshoot and resolve defects by documenting issues accurately. Learn and apply best practices in Quality Engineering and contribute to continuous improvement. Collaborate with team members to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Gain exposure to data validation and basic SQL queries for backend testing. Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to understand workflows and priorities.

Qualifications

0–1 years of experience in software testing or automation (internship experience is a plus). Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles. Familiarity with at least one programming language (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred). Exposure to automation tools like Cypress or WebdriverIO (academic or project experience acceptable). Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools such as Postman. Understanding of version control systems (Git-based tools like GitHub, GitLab). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

Required Education & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment. Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts. Awareness of cloud technologies (AWS exposure is a plus). Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn new technologies.
