This is a standalone QA role, offering real autonomy and influence, with a strong focus on automation and website testing.
The role As the sole tester, you’ll be responsible for establishing and maintaining testing practices across the business. You’ll work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure websites and applications are delivered to a high standard, balancing hands-on testing with automation from scratch. What you’ll be doing Owning the end-to-end testing process across web-based systems Designing and executing manual and automated test cases Building, maintaining and improving automated test suites Testing websites for functionality, usability, performance and regression Managing defects through to resolution and communicating clearly with the wider team Helping shape QA standards, processes and best practice across the business What we’re looking for Commercial experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer Proven automation testing experience (tools/framework flexible) Strong experience testing websites Confident working independently as the sole tester Comfortable collaborating closely with developers and non-technical stakeholders Nice to have Experience setting up QA processes from scratch Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or cloud-based environments Location & package Kent-based role with 3 days per week onsite Salary up to £55,000, depending on experience
