Role & seniority: Senior Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer (experience-based, requires 5β8 years or 2β5 with master's; PhD 0β2)
Stack/tools: Software testing (functional, regression, SIT/UAT); automated testing tools (Tosca preferred); Salesforce/Oracle testing; DEVOPS/Agile/Scrum; test deliverables and traceability; regulation compliance (SOX, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR)
Design, create, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to support business needs; update per design/requirement changes
Review product specs and generate test plans, test approaches, scenarios, data, and requirements traceability; document test results and progress
Collaborate with developers and remote test engineers to ensure test coverage, report validation results, and provide guidance on quality and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and functional testing phases (application test, SIT, UAT, regression)
Ability to produce test deliverables (test plan, test cases, test data, RTM) and write detailed test reports
Experience with automated testing and DevOps/Agile environments; willingness to work across time zones; able to work night shift aligned to Pacific Time

Meet the team: You will be part of our team that debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. Where you come in: You will design, create, execute, and maintain automated test cases to support business needs. You will provide expertise in designing and creating manual test cases to support business needs. You will review product specifications, software requirements, and software design specifications. You will update test cases as per requirement/design changes. You work in close collaboration with developers and other test engineers to produce high quality product. You work and coordinate with remote test engineers to ensure test coverage of all features. You will create requirements traceability matrices which demonstrate test coverage of all features. You will write test reports documenting detailed results of validation, and report test progress to management. You will provide in-depth knowledge and consultation to users in the area of expertise. You ensure compliance with existing regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, FDA, HIPAA, and GDPR You will communicate laterally and engage others across the organization. What makes you successful: Your understanding of good software development and testing practices (SDLC and STLC). Your experience in functional testing phases/stages (i.e. application test/product test, SIT, UAT, regression). Your experience in creating/preparing test deliverables such as test plan/test approach, test case designing, test scenarios, test data, requirement traceability matrix. Your experience with automated testing tools and practices. Your experience with Tricentis Tosca Automated testing tool would be an advantage. Your experience with testing Salesforce and Oracle products would be an advantage. Your experience testing in a DEVOPS, Agile/Scrum organization. Your willingness to work with others in different timezones. Must be amenable to working night shift (in line with Pacific Standard Time). Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
