Calibrate and maintain test equipment systems
Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to develop/improve testing procedures

Join our team as a Test Equipment Technician supporting the design, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic and electro-mechanical aerospace test systems. This position is part of the Sensors and Fluid Management Systems Business Unit within AMETEK Aerospace & Defense’s Measurement and Power Systems Division.
This position reports directly to the Sr Test Equipment Engineer Key Responsibilites
Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment systems Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to develop or improve new or existing testing procedures Apply knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and testing standards including AS9100/ISO9001 Create detailed technical documentation, including instruction manuals, schematics and other detailed diagrams Research and make recommendations for new materials, parts and equipment Support continuous improvement initiatives Provide technical recommendations for upgrading and maintaining test infrastructure Demonstrate a willingness to participate in career growth initiatives
Requirements for Consideration
Minimum of an Associates degree in a STEM discipline 5+ years in a technical manufacturing or engineering environment with bench testing and troubleshooting expertise Proficiency in test methods, data acquisition, and control software Familiarity with industry-standard data acquisition and comm bus devices, DMM, Oscilloscopes, power supplies and other test equipment Ability to create wiring diagrams and electro-mechanical schematics for reverse engineering analysis Knowledge of electrical components, circuitry, and basic software development Experience with aerospace or avionics manufacturing preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Knowledge of AI tools for research and problem-solving is desirable Ability to research, recommend and source materials, parts and equipment Ability to interpret technical data sheets and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and soldering skills desired Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in confined areas Ability to work independently and within a team environment Adaptability to shifting priorities and tight deadlines Exposure to continuous improvement, and related best practices is a plus Team player with strong interpersonal skills and commitment to collaboration and initiative Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be either a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
