This is a 1st shift opportunity with possible rotating shifts and overtime when necessary. In this job, you will: This job primarily performs non-destructive testing (NDT) radiographic inspections (RT) on composite rocket motors. Inspects composite materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods with radiographic techniques. Requires certifications in RT Non-Destructive testing in accordance with regulations. In house part and material inspections are periodically performed using ultrasonic (UT), liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), and eddy current (ET) inspection methods. These inspections can be in different locations including confined space locations. Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications for Level 4: High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. No clearance required to start Must currently hold BOTH Level II Radiography (RT) AND Level II Ultrasound (UT) certifications. RECORDS REQUIRED Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, and lifting up to 50lbs. NAS410 qualified Level 2 classroom training/experience, or equivalent, in radiographic methodology, either in progress or completed. Must be willing to work a rotating schedule between day and night shift. Occasionally work overtime and flexible/changing schedules including weekends as required to meet schedule demands. Preferred Qualifications: Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Mag Particle Level 2 certifications. Experience and familiarity with inspection/interpretation of engineering requirements. Experience working with automated radiographic inspection systems. Experience with handheld UT pulse echo units (USM GO, USN 60) and or phased array (MX2, Veo). Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
