Role & seniority: Compliance Quality Assurance Officer (2nd Line of Defence), fixed-term contract through May 2027
Stack/tools: MS Office (extensive); SAP for Internal Control Functions (nice-to-have); knowledge of banking/fund regulatory frameworks; reporting tools for KPI tracking
Design and execute compliance monitoring plans; manage issue lifecycle from findings to remediation; ensure internal and external reporting accuracy
Oversee outsourced compliance activities; monitor performance and regulatory adherence; coordinate audits and regulatory requests
Support regulatory surveillance, updates to the Compliance framework, and awareness/training programs; prepare materials for Board/executive management
University degree in computer science, business informatics, economics, finance, law or related field
2+ years in Compliance Quality Assurance (design/execute monitoring) or 4+ years in internal/external auditing
Strong attention to detail, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and persuasive communication
Proficient in MS Office; ability to interpret and present complex issues clearly
Excellent English (spoken/written); French and/or German a plus
Knowledge of banking/fund regulatory requirements; SAP experience for internal controls
Experience coordinating audits, regulatory inquiries, and governance reporting
Supports and develops strategic compliance monitoring plans and executes controls. Manages the entire lifecycle of issue resolution, from tracking findings to implementing recommendations, while ensuring precise internal and external reporting. Holds responsibility for the comprehensive coordination and oversight of outsourced compliance activities, managing relationships and performance to ensure regulatory adherence. Monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all internal and outsourced compliance functions. Contributes to Second Line of Defence (2LoD) compliance reviews of the outsourcing framework to ensure adherence with CSSF Circular 22/806 requirements. Supports the ongoing surveillance of regulatory developments and emerging market practices applicable to the banking industry to ensure proactive compliance. Supports the continuous alignment and updating of the entity's Compliance framework with the standards set by Group Compliance and related Clearstream entities. Serves as a key point of contact for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inquiries, coordinating the timely and accurate provision of all required documentation and information. Supports the reporting function by preparing comprehensive materials for the Board of Directors, executive management, and other key governance bodies. Supports awareness raising initiatives through internal trainings provided to 1st Line of Defence on Compliance matters. Actively leads initiatives to strengthen and promote a culture of compliance, integrity, and ethical behavior across the company. Provides support to any compliance activity, by ensuring timely submission of deliverables to senior members, the Chief Compliance Officer and other Senior Management, should it be required
University degree in computer science or business informatics, economics, finance, law or comparable qualification. Minimum 2 years experience working as a Compliance Quality Assurance in designing and execution compliance monitoring plans is a strong plus, or at least 4 years as internal/external auditor . Knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements relevant in the banking industry and/or fund sector. Attention to details is a must, organizational skills, and team spirit. Excels at presenting definitive conclusions and leveraging persuasive communication to realign perspectives, a key requirement for a control function. Analytic, critical thinker and constant problem-solving attitude. Inquisitive mindset/Intellectual curious. Communicative, open to feedback and willing to understand that building relationships and connection are a strong foundation for Ability to communicate and negotiate, including the ability to understand, interpret and present complex issues in a way that makes it comprehensible to third parties. High level of proactivity, dedication, and motivation. Extremely good knowledge and command of MS Office tools. Experience with SAP for Internal Control Functions is plus. Very good spoken and written English (French and/or German is a plus).
