PCB HW Validation Engineer We are seeking an experienced PCB Hardware Validation Engineer to validate printed circuit board functionality and ensure sufficient power and signal margins across all interfaces. This role focuses on hands-on lab validation, data analysis, and post-silicon characterization to ensure reliable system operation across multiple subsystems, including PCIe and I2C.
Perform PCB functional verification to confirm all features meet design requirements, including power and signal integrity margin validation.
Collect, analyze, and interpret lab data to assess power delivery, signal integrity, and overall system robustness.
Support post-silicon validation through PVT, power, and thermal characterization.
Validate PCIe performance, including signal integrity, eye opening measurements (EOM), and bit error rate (BER) margin analysis.
Identify hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams.
Design and execute DOE experiments to debug issues and optimize hardware performance.
Validate power sequencing, microcontroller behavior, and power efficiency, noise, and transient response.
Characterize I2C bus performance to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Track, document, and communicate validation results, issues, and risks clearly to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with hardware design, firmware, and system engineering teams to ensure end-to-end hardware quality.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in hardware validation, lab bring-up, and PCB-level debugging.
Strong understanding of power integrity and signal integrity fundamentals and measurement techniques.
Experience working with PCIe, I2C, and common hardware interfaces.
Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
Hands-on experience performing hardware debug and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with power sequencing and microcontroller-based systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; scripting experience (Python, MATLAB) is a plus.
