abra is seeking a backend Automation Engineer We are looking for a backend-focused Automation Engineer to lead and evolve our testing infrastructure and processes. This role is centered on validating the logic, stability, and performance of backend systems through advanced test automation and continuous integration practices. Full-time | Holon, Israel Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust automation infrastructure for backend services Design and implement API-level and integration test scenarios Build and execute automated tests for microservices and internal APIs Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments Work closely with backend developers, DevOps, and QA to ensure system stability and scalability Analyze logs, trace data, and system behavior to identify issues Contribute to the design of test strategies for server-side business logic Continuously refactor and improve the test automation codebase

Requirements 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on backend systems – required

Proficient in scripting languages: Python / JavaScript / Bash – required Extensive experience in API testing (REST, Postman, REST Assured, etc.) – required Familiarity with microservices architecture and asynchronous communication – strong advantage Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray) – required Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS) – required Experience with Docker / Kubernetes – required
