Associate Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development The Data Center & Energy Business Unit is currently looking for a Test Development Engineer located in the Philippines. In the role of Test Engineer, your immediate responsibilities will include development of test plans & production worthy, robust hardware and software solutions for a variety of High Performance Power devices, including Hot swaps, DC/DC Converters, Multi-phase controllers + Power Stage Products, and many other analog and mixed signal products on various Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). You will be involved in each phase of Test Development from definition of the test plan, hardware and software design, debug, device characterization and data analysis to verify manufacturability of the product test solution. You will work with professionals throughout the organization to successfully release your product test solution to worldwide manufacturing sites, including Design, Product and Applications Engineering. You will also need to sustain, and support released products in manufacturing. Candidates should have a BSEE or equivalent experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop product test solutions for High Performance Analog / Mixed Signal integrated circuits. Design, develop and debug multi-site, cost effective test HW/SW solutions for characterization, qualification and production wafer probe and final test. Work with design engineers in defining/developing test methodologies, test plans, test modes, SCAN and IDDq test. Define test schematics, work with lay-out engineers in designing of Printed Circuit Boards multi-site test HW. Debugging test programs, correlating production test solutions to engineering bench measurements, and transferring production test solutions to worldwide, high-volume manufacturing sites. Sustain and support local and worldwide manufacturing to maintain production yield, high quality and resolve product and test problems after production release. Participate in New Product Development Teams and evaluation of new test systems for future applications required. Manage and maintain projects schedules that align with product introduction and release dates. Motivated, resourceful team-player who is willing to do 'whatever it takes' to get the job done. Required Skills and Coursework Desired: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Electronics Engineering. Strong knowledge of analog/digital devices and C/C++/Visual Basic programming Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Sound understanding of fundamental electronic devices/circuit theory Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills Designing multi-site hardware and software solutions for Automated Test Equipment that minimize test cost and maximize test performance. Using schematic and layout tools such as Cadence ALLEGRO. Performing statistical data analysis using Excel or other data tools. Documenting and presenting test plans and evaluation reports Experience with various commercial ATE test platforms such as Teradyne, or Eagle Test.
