The role: We are seeking a dynamic Lead Engineer, Materials Quality Engineering- Business Operations with a strong commitment to excellence and the drive to help build a worldclass raw material supply chain for the industry’s most advanced deposition and etch consumable materials, hardware, and delivery systems. This position supports the Materials Solutions Division and plays a critical role in elevating raw material quality for nextgeneration applications. In this role, the lead engineer will use statistical and analytical techniques to prevent and resolve rawmaterialdriven nonconformances, while partnering crossfunctionally with Product Management, Production Engineering, and Customer Quality to develop OCAPs, technical reports, 8D analyses, and customerfacing presentations. The position will also serve as a representative of the Materials Quality Organization during customer investigations as needed and collaborate closely with teams in the United States, Taiwan, and Korea. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that requires strong independent judgment, technical depth, and the ability to build constructive relationships across global teams. This role is critical to achieving Global Materials Quality Engineering and Entegris corporate goals by ensuring supply chain continuity and delivering consistent, highperformance CMP pads to our customers. What you'll do: Develops and maintains Statistical Process Control (SPC) for critical rawmaterial parameters, including, control limit calculations, SPC rules, trigger mechanisms, and reaction guides. Applies statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate raw materials prior to production use, reducing customer OCAPs and preventing customer linestoppages. Leads 8D problemsolving teams to conduct failure analysis, rootcause investigation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for rawmaterialrelated defects; ensures corrective action closure within defined timelines. Generates, analyzes, and reports rawmaterial quality performance through Pareto analysis, SPC, and processcapability studies across assigned productline areas. Responds to customer inquiries and excursions by conducting detailed rawmaterial data analysis, identifying linkages to customer performance issues, preparing OCAPs, and driving timely corrective actions. Develops and reports statistical data related to qualitysystem performance, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal quality objectives. Supports and maintains the rawmaterial failureanalysis process, ensuring consistent feedback loops, communication, and CAPA implementation in alignment with customer requirements. Partners with the Global Materials Quality Engineering team and suppliers to facilitate rootcause investigations, drive processimprovement objectives, and colead direct supplier communication during critical customer events. Leads and participates in materialdisposition decisions, coordinating hold/release activities and ensuring no escapes occur during qualityissue review. Collaborates with Production, Engineering, and R&D to evaluate nonconforming raw materials and ensure appropriate, riskbased disposition. Technical Requirements: Solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, structured problemsolving techniques, SPC, and FMEA. Technical knowledge of organic chemistry and mechanical hardware Strong ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decisionmaking and action. Experience working in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment including familiarity with CVD, PVD, and ALD deposition techniques. What we seek: Education: B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science required; advanced degree preferred. Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Experience: 7+ years of experience in inorganic or organic chemical manufacturing, semiconductor fab or a closely related field utilizing deposition technologies. Experience in the semiconductor, microelectronics, or hightech industry required. Prior experience working directly with suppliers or customers on quality, technical investigations, or issue resolution is strongly preferred. Full professional proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Korean is a plus. Project management experience a plus. Ability to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
