Role & seniority: Lead Analyst – Sourcing Manager (also described as Test Commissioning Manager) based in Orange, Connecticut; senior/lead level with on-site responsibilities.
Stack/tools: Electrical engineering discipline; protection & control systems; substation equipment; commissioning, testing, energization; coordination with contractors, design engineers, operations, and clients.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise commissioning and testing activities for electrical substations, ensuring compliance with standards, quality, and safety.
Lead multidisciplinary field teams, provide technical guidance, and resolve on-site issues.
Review/validate/document test procedures and results; manage project timelines, budgets, and safety across testing phases; collaborate with stakeholders to support project execution.
Proven experience in commissioning and testing electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning, and energization.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, excellent problem-solving, decision-making under deadlines, and strong communication/stakeholder management.
Willingness to travel and work on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
Experience across New York State on-site activities.

The Test Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising commissioning and testing activities for electrical substations, ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Leading multidisciplinary teams during commissioning, providing technical guidance, and resolving on-site issues. Reviewing, validating, and documenting test procedures and results to ensure alignment with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Collaborate closely with contractors, design engineers, operations teams, and clients to support successful project execution. Maintaining project timelines, budgets, and safety standards throughout all phases of testing and commissioning.
