Role & seniority: Freelance Game Localization QA Tester (mid-level).
Stack/tools: Native Simplified Chinese QA, English proficiency; bug tracking familiarity (e.g., JIRA, Mantis, ADO, Bugzilla); basic Microsoft Office; test case/checklist execution; manual localization testing across platforms.
Identify, isolate, document, and verify localization/linguistic issues; write bug reports per standards.
Execute targeted testing via test cases/checklists; perform regression testing; ensure linguistic quality.
Provide feedback on gameplay, balance, and user experience for the target market; collaborate with partner teams; ensure test coverage gaps are addressed.
Native Simplified Chinese with excellent spelling/grammar; strong English in documentation and communications.
Passion for gaming; detail-oriented; regular game player; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
LQA/testing experience; strong written/interpersonal communication; teamwork and a positive, proactive attitude.
Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office); understanding of digital devices/form factors; ability to work onsite.
Immediate availability; prior game testing or software localization experience; familiarity with CAT tools and bug trackers.
