Job Summary
The Production Test Engineer I will work onsite at our Plymouth, Minnesota location and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting production test solutions for new and existing products. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with test engineering in a production environment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with Linux scripting and LabVIEW is an added advantage. The engineer will ensure smooth production testing, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and support manufacturing with required training and documentation updates.
Job Responsibilities.
Participate in project teams to define test requirements for new products. Develop test plans and procedures for both new and existing products to support production. Provide hardware and software debugging support and ensure Manufacturing receives proper product training. Update test programs, scripts, databases, documentation, and labels as per ECO changes. Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with testers and fixtures to support production schedules Apply failure analysis expertise to identify and resolve product and process issues. Collaborate cross-functionally and work independently with minimal supervision.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 2+ years of experience in production test engineering. Hands-on experience with scripting languages, networking, functional testing, box build assembly, and hardware failure analysis. Experience working with test instruments such as DMM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc. Exposure to Linux and LabVIEW is an added advantage.
