Role & seniority: Contract role; individual contributor in Motion Planning team (PUDO/Depot site enablement)
Stack/tools: Simulation environments; vehicle testing workflows; Python scripting; test planning and scheduling; documentation; familiarity with Git and issue tracking (preferred)
Create and specify simulation scenes for PUDO and Depot site scenarios from operational requirements
Develop/maintain vehicle test plans, support on/off-site testing, ensure feature coverage
Manage test scheduling/coordination; perform first-pass triage of simulation and vehicle test results; document findings and generate actionable reports
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Physics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Ability/willingness to travel for test support
Python or similar scripting for automation/data analysis
Strong organizational skills and experience coordinating technical workflows
Able to learn new tools quickly; clear written/verbal communication
Experience with simulation environments or game engines
Exposure to robotics, automotive, or autonomous systems

The Motion Planning team is scaling our Pick Up/Drop Off (PUDO) and Depot Site enablement capabilities and expanding to new operational domains. In this contract role, you'll work alongside our Motion Planning engineers to accelerate our development, testing, and validation workflows. You'll own the creation of simulation scenarios, manage vehicle testing, and serve as the first line of triage for test results. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to autonomous vehicle development while building your robotics expertise on the job. We're looking for someone who is organized, technically curious, and excited to learn. You'll gain hands-on exposure to our simulation infrastructure, on-vehicle testing processes, and the real-world challenges of deploying autonomous vehicles.
