THE ROLE
- As an IC CAD Engineer (Design Automation in Physical Design / Analog Layout for CAD flows), you will be responsible for supporting physical verification and parasitic extraction in a custom design environment. You will work with senior CAD team members to verify existing setups for new technology enablement, improve current setups for a better user experience, and provide user support to meet design deliverable schedules. You will also be involved in evaluating and implementing new tool features. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of custom CAD flows.

You are a team player with excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with engineers located across different sites and time zones. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are eager to learn, and ready to tackle challenges. You are passionate about improving processes and user experience through AI integration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and verify physical verification and parasitic extraction tools/flows.
- Maintain and improve parasitic extraction (StarRC/others) and physical verification (Calibre) processes across multiple technology nodes.
- Build regression testbenches to maintain CAD tool and flow quality.
- Provide technical support and training to users across multiple sites.
- Enhance overall user usage and experience through AI agent integration.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Possess 6-8 years of minimum experience.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools used in IC design flows such as Synopsys StarRC (primary skillset), Calibre (secondary skillset), Fusion Compiler or any equivalent vendor tools.
- Fluent in programming languages like Perl, Python, Tcl.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
