For a leading international financial institution, we are looking for a Risk Officer / Senior Risk Officer within the Product & GenAI Testing & Assurance area (1st Line of Defence).

If you have experience in non-financial risk, internal audit, compliance, or internal controls and want to work close to the business while strengthening control environments around products and emerging technologies (including GenAI), this opportunity may be for you.

The Role You will join a newly established, specialised control unit responsible for building and delivering a comprehensive testing and assurance framework across product and GenAI risk areas.

Key responsibilities include

• Testing key controls related to Product and GenAI risks (including defining testing frequency, developing test scripts, documentation, and methodology)
• Analysing and interpreting test results, assessing control effectiveness, and identifying improvement areas
• Partnering with control owners and business stakeholders to enhance the control environment
• Identifying opportunities for test automation and efficiency improvements
• Supporting reporting and escalation of findings to Senior Management and Risk Committees

Your Profile

We are particularly interested in professionals with a background in

• Non-financial risk management (min. 5 years of experience)
• Internal or external audit
• Compliance / governance
• Control testing within banking or financial services

Key competencies

• Strong understanding of risk and control management frameworks
• Knowledge of financial products and banking processes
• Ability to identify underlying risk drivers and recommend process/control improvements
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex findings in a concise and clear manner
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across functions and seniority levels
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Relevant university degree or equivalent
