Korry Electronics is seeking a Senior Process Automation Engineer to lead the lifecycle of automation innovation for our premier aerospace product lines. You will serve as the technical authority and project manager for our most critical manufacturing initiatives, ensuring that automated systems are qualified to the highest aerospace standards. What You Will Do

In this role, you will drive automation transformation across our aerospace electronics manufacturing operations. You will lead the complete lifecycle of automation projects, from identifying and characterizing automation opportunities through final production handoff.

This role combines strategic assessment and business case development with hands-on project execution, working collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to define requirements, develop project plans aligned with business objectives, and manage system validation and implementation. You will serve as both technical leader and project manager, ensuring automation solutions are successfully qualified to aerospace standards, fully documented, and seamlessly transferred to production teams with appropriate training and support for sustained operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify automation opportunities and develop business cases that align initiatives with organizational objectives and production goals
  • Define comprehensive project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and technical specifications while identifying constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to define system requirements, evaluate solutions, and manage vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Create and execute detailed project plans with clear milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and monitor progress while managing scope changes and stakeholder communications
  • Develop and execute validation protocols including FAT/SAT, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure automated systems meet performance specifications and quality standards
  • Develop SOPs and documentation packages, train production personnel, provide ramp-up support, and establish KPIs for ongoing system optimization
  • Performs special projects/tasks as assigned

Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred Experience Minimum 7+ years relevant experience Proven track record of successfully delivering automation projects from concept through production implementation Experience with automation technologies including robotics, vision systems, PLC programming, and motion control Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated industry

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Self-starter and highly accountable with a hands-on and detail-oriented approach Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills Strategic thinking with strong business acumen Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills

Salary Range Please note the typical hiring range is $127,500 - $172,500 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
