You Are

UST is seeking an experienced Power & Thermal Validation Engineer to support platform-level validation, debugging, and optimization activities. The role focuses on analyzing power and thermal behavior, supporting stress and performance workloads, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform efficiency, stability, and reliability.

The Opportunity

As a Power & Thermal Validation Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce, analyze, and debug power and thermal issues
  • Support platform-level power and thermal validation across different workloads
  • Analyze functional bugs and assess their impact on power, performance, and system stability
  • Develop and execute stress workloads to validate TDP, nTDP, and power state behavior
  • Assist in tuning register settings and improving software data paths related to power management
  • Perform telemetry analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
  • Conduct platform-level debugging to triage and resolve power and thermal issues
  • Support software and platform-level testing and validation activities
  • Document findings, test results, and root-cause analysis
  • Provide regular technical status updates and participate in design and debug reviews Required Skills

What You Need

The candidate must have a Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.

6+ years of experience in the following areas

  • Debugging, telemetry analysis, and performance tuning
  • Platform-level power and thermal validation
  • Python or C/C++
  • Linux Scripting
  • Strong programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python
  • Experience scripting and debugging in Linux environments
  • Knowledge of software testing and platform-level validation
  • Understanding of power and thermal management concepts at the system level
  • Hands-on experience with debugging, telemetry analysis, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with version control and CI tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)
