Summary
Brief Description
The Quality Control Engineer will be embedded within project teams, working closely with Project Management and Superintendent staff to ensure compliance with quality standards on a project-specific basis. This role focuses on maintaining the quality of construction activities, documentation, and processes, while actively addressing quality issues to support project success.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project-specific quality plans, ensuring alignment with client and organizational standards. Review project drawings and specifications to confirm compliance with quality requirements. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to project staff, subcontractors, and vendors regarding quality requirements and processes. Facilitate pre-installation meetings, mock-up reviews, and ensure alignment of quality expectations with all stakeholders. Identify and proactively resolve quality-related challenges, including constructability issues, promptly. Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, generate reports, and recommend process improvements. Share lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle to reduce rework and improve quality outcomes. Act as the primary point of contact for quality issues on assigned projects, providing clear communication and actionable solutions to stakeholders. Maintain proper documentation of quality activities for audits and project close-out requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
