Top 3 responsibilities

Summary
IBC is currently looking for a contract Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (SQA) to supplement the test team. The successful candidate will need to plan and execute various types of testing including system integration, end-to-end, regression, security, performance/load, web application, database application, website, mobile device, third party software testing, etc. for software or infrastructure projects and support initiatives, while adhering to testing and quality standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute System Integration Testing for software projects and support initiatives Review business requirements, functional specifications, design and other project documents for clarity and completeness and provide constructive feedback Design, develop and document test strategy, test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements and best practices Perform test execution including capturing/documenting test results, documenting defects and adhering to defect management workflow Perform back-end and front-end testing to ensure data consistency Assist and support business users in User Acceptance test design, planning and testing Provide timely, concise test progress /status reports Maintain positive and professional relationships with project or support stakeholders
Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Minimum of 7 years’ software testing Experience in testing large scale web projects Proficient in both manual and automated testing Testing experience with Business Intelligence applications Experience in database management systems Experienced in testing integrated applications involving web applications, web services and database applications/backend Knowledge of SDLC, application architecture and development Knowledge of Azure cloud Experience in security, load/performance would be an asset Familiarity with Automobile, Property and Casualty insurance industry would be an asset

The range for this position is between CA$55 - CA$60/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
