Our client, an innovative leader in aerospace and drone technology, is seeking a Drone Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer to join their team. As a Drone Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer, you will be part of the Flight Test Engineering Department supporting the drone development and testing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Seattle, Washington

Pay Range: $41 per our on Experis W2

What's the Job?

Design, develop, and operate comprehensive drone flight test instrumentation systems from start to finish. Integrate sensors such as accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, and cameras with aircraft systems. Manage vendor relationships and oversee project budgets to ensure timely delivery of testing equipment. Provide troubleshooting support and develop contingency plans to maintain high operational standards. Create detailed documentation and standard operating procedures to support ongoing testing activities.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering. 3-5+ years of experience in flight test instrumentation. Hands-on experience with sensor integration and data acquisition systems. Knowledge of GNSS/DGNSS systems setup and electrical power systems. Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with environmental testing standards (DO-160G).
