Lead the QA lifecycle for mobile apps (requirements analysis, test strategy, automation, deployment, post-launch monitoring).
Design and implement mobile quality processes and automation frameworks; conduct functional, usability, performance, and security testing across iOS/Android.
Collaborate with mobile developers, UX/UI, and product managers; troubleshoot defects, report quality metrics, ensure compliance with App Store/Google Play and security/privacy standards.
1–5 years mobile QA experience (manual and automated) for iOS/Android.

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join one of our challenging international projects within the insurance sector, in a hybrid work model in Lisbon. Are you the one?
Develop Quality Processes: Design and implement quality processes tailored to mobile application development, including test strategies, automation frameworks, and performance benchmarks.
Conduct Testing: Execute functional, usability, performance, and security testing for iOS and Android platforms using both manual and automated approaches.
Mobile App Specifics: Ensure compliance with platform-specific guidelines and optimal performance across multiple devices, screen sizes, and OS versions. Proactively address crashes, performance issues, and UI inconsistencies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with mobile developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to understand requirements, provide quality feedback, and resolve issues efficiently.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Investigate defects found during testing or reported by users, perform root cause analysis, and help prevent future occurrences.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test results, and defect documentation. Regularly report on quality metrics, test coverage, and overall application health.
Compliance and Security: Validate that applications meet App Store and Google Play policies, as well as security and privacy standards.
Contract Testing: Design and execute contract tests to ensure APIs and services comply with defined specifications and data contracts.
Backend Testing: Perform backend testing to validate system stability, performance, security, and data integrity. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 1–5 years of experience in mobile quality assurance, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing for iOS and Android applications. Technical Skills Strong understanding of mobile platforms, OS behaviors, device fragmentation, and application lifecycle management.

API: Bruno, Postman, Newman
UX: Figma Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Octane. Solid knowledge of contract testing tools and methodologies. Experience working in Agile environments, especially SAFe and Scrum frameworks. Strong Test Automation skills, including identifying high-value scenarios, executing automated tests, and continuously improving automation frameworks. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Quality Engineering or Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE). Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications. Familiarity with mobile analytics tools and user experience testing methods. Understanding of mobile performance metrics and debugging techniques. Debugging experience using tools such as Charles Proxy, Android Studio / ADB, and Xcode Instruments. Experience with backend testing tools and techniques.
