This is a one-year Research Assistant/Post-Doctoral Researcher position at the Environmental Science Center, Qatar University. The role will focus on remote sensing with an emphasis on satellite data image processing. The ideal candidate will work closely with Dr. Rajendran Sankaran, engaging in hands-on satellite image processing using industry-standard software such as ENVI (preferred) and/or ERDAS. The project involves processing and analyzing multi-sensor satellite data for a variety of environmental applications. Candidate Profile

Applicants suitable for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience

– A PhD or MSc in Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Geology, Geography, or Marine Science.

– Fresh PhD graduates or candidates with up to one year of postdoctoral experience are encouraged to apply.

– Demonstrated hands-on experience in satellite image processing using ENVI (preferred) and/or ERDAS.

– A minimum of two publications in Q1 or Q2 journals.

– Strong working experience in processing and analyzing multi-sensor satellite data for diverse applications.

– Must currently reside in Qatar and hold a valid residence permit.
