Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with deep expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, along with solid programming knowledge in Java and exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and enhance the existing Playwright automation framework to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright, TestNG, and Cucumber. Build and integrate API automation using Rest Assured and Postman. Develop modular, reusable, and high-performance automation components. Refactor and optimize existing test scripts for improved readability and performance. Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA leads to ensure complete test coverage and efficient defect triage. Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent) for continuous testing and nightly regression runs. Proactively identify gaps in testing and propose improvements in QA processes and tools. Mentor and guide QA team members on best automation practices and framework enhancements. Work in Agile/Scrum environments, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Demonstrate basic understanding of DevOps concepts and deployment workflows.
Requirements
