Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Tester (Active SC Cleared) to deliver hands-on load and performance testing across large-scale digital services and backend applications.

This is a technical, delivery-focused role operating in structured and governed environments where performance, resilience, and scalability are critical to service success. The successful candidate will have experience working with cloud-based distributed services and performance testing within AWS-hosted environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute load, stress, volume, soak, and scalability tests Analyse performance results, logs, and system metrics to identify bottlenecks Gather and validate performance Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), volumetrics, and capacity assumptions Prepare and maintain performance test scripts and execution runbooks Execute performance tests in cloud-hosted (AWS) non-production environments Raise performance defects with clear technical evidence Support CI/CD integration for performance testing where required Contribute to test reports, defect triage, and test completion evidence Collaborate closely with developers, architects, platform, and operations teams

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong experience in performance testing of enterprise-scale systems

Hands-on delivery experience using tools such as

  • JMeter
  • Gatling
  • LoadRunner
  • k6 (or equivalent)

Solid understanding of

  • APIs and HTTP protocols
  • Databases
  • Messaging systems
  • Caching mechanisms
