SOFTWARE AUTOMATION TEST ENGINEER
Place: Olen, Belgium
Type: Hybrid, full-time
Level: Junior/Medior
Defining and elaborating test scenarios, test plans and test cases for the XTran network management platform. Manually testing management software and validating mission-critical networking solutions. Writing automated tests in the existing C# test framework and extending it with new functionalities. Collaborating closely with software developers, integration testers, product management and customer service. Participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from a QA perspective in an agile environment.
Master in IT / ICT / Engineering (or equivalent experience) – You have a solid educational background or relevant hands-on experience in software and network testing. Strong technical and networking foundation – You understand and can test network solutions and protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP and SSH. Software development & test automation skills – You have knowledge of .NET and C#, experience with automated testing (preferably in C#), and familiarity with Python is a plus. Analytical and problem-solving mindset – You are skilled in debugging, performance tuning and using tools like Wireshark for data analysis and troubleshooting. Clear communicator with strong documentation skills – You can accurately document test cases, defects and QA progress, and communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
