Role & seniority: Senior QA/Automation Engineer (mid-senior level) focused on automated testing of server-side applications and API integrations
Stack/tools: Python or other scripting language; API testing; SQL basics; networking concepts; Azure familiarity is a plus
Design and implement robust automated test suites for API and functional components
Test integration of multiple components, monitor/analyze results, and provide actionable feedback
Participate in sprint planning/daily standups and collaborate with engineers to improve quality
Bachelor’s degree or higher
≥4 years software testing experience, especially with API-focused server apps
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language
Basic SQL, databases, and networking knowledge
English fluency (written and spoken)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Experience with Azure environments/architecture
Location & work type: Mechelen, Belgium; on-site with travel required (approximately 1 week every 2 months)

This position assumes, that employee will be able to travel to client's office in Mechelen, Belgium 1 week every 2 months.
The project focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and correct integration of server-side applications and APIs within a complex software ecosystem. Automated testing plays a key role in maintaining system stability and supporting continuous delivery.
The role involves working as part of a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with software engineers and other stakeholders to design, execute, and analyze automated tests, validate integrations, and provide actionable feedback to improve overall product quality.
Test the integration of various application components at both API and functional levels
Design a robust suite of automated tests using application knowledge and risk analysis
Monitor, analyze, and discuss test results to ensure quality and reliability
Participate in sprint planning sessions and daily standups
Provide actionable feedback to the development team on identified issues
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on testing server applications that interact via APIs
Solid knowledge of Python or another scripting language
Basic understanding of SQL, databases, and networking concepts
Familiarity with Azure environments and architecture is a plus
Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
English: B2 Upper Intermediate
