Salary: $3,000 - $5,000 / year
Role & seniority: Junior Software Engineer in Test (entry-level QA/quality automation)
Stack/tools: Python, JavaScript, Java, or C# for simple test scripts; test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright); Jira and other bug-tracking/test-management tools; basic SQL/Databases; test planning and documentation
Execute manual and automated test cases; write simple automated test scripts with support
Participate in test planning and collaborate with developers to resolve defects
Perform various testing types (system, end-to-end, UI, API, functional, non-functional) and track issues in bug-tracking tools
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
1–2 years in software testing or QA
Foundational programming in one of: Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#
Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright)
Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools; SQL fundamentals
Understanding of test planning and documentation; strong collaboration with developers
Experience with API testing and non-functional testing
Additional programming language proficiency
Exposure to CI/CD and agile development environments

Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer in Test to support the quality and reliability of our software products. In this role, you will collaborate with developers and product managers to validate features, perform hands-on testing, and contribute to basic test automation. You will work closely with mid and senior engineers, gaining mentorship and building your skills in quality-driven development.
Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated test cases, including writing simple automated test scripts with support Actively engage in test planning activities Use bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) to report and track defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues Understand and perform different types of testing, including system, end-to-end, UI, API, functional, and non-functional testing
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance. Foundational programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Java, or C# for writing simple test scripts. Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management tools. Fundamentals of databases and SQL. Understanding of basic test planning and documentation practices. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with developers to identify and resolve defects
