Seasonal Testing Technician - Bologna (m/f/d)
Bayer CropScience srl is looking for a brilliant and motivatedSeasonal Testing Technician.
He/she will join the Italian Testing Team of Vegetables seeds R&D.
He/she will be responsible for generating data on new plant products to enable accurate and timely decisions in advancing through the pre-commercial breeding pipeline. This position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the trial programs. The Seasonal Testing Technician will work closely with the TRAs supporting them to plan and execute trials for the different crops across the south area and it also will be responsible of the data collection.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates activities such as finding and maintaining external testing facilities, contracting with growers, supplying equipment and seed (preparations), conducts overall planning, and supports staff for effective and efficient operation of vegetable testing programs Ensures collection of high-quality data in a timely manner with appropriate digital tools and input into farm systems Collaborates with TRAs to ensure the desired output is generated and shared periodically with stakeholders Partners with TRAs to build an efficient workflow within Testing Maintains relationships with growers
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (or related field) At least 1 years of previous experience in similar agronomic roles Ability to describe phenotypic plant characteristics, strong adaptability to field work and ability to work with seasonal peaks Demonstrated abilities to collect data accurately, flexibility and excellent analytical skills Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment with strong collaboration skills Grower relationship management (customer focus, including contracts/ negotiation) Driving license “B” Good Knowledge of English and Italian mother tongue
