Join Yettel Hungary as Data Platform Tester, be yourself and make a difference in the world.

The tester ensures that all components of the data platform—data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption—work as expected and meet quality standards. The tester validates data integrity, system functionality, and compliance with business requirements. In addition, he/she will work closely with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to validate data pipelines, integrations, and reporting systems.

You will have the following responsibilities

• Data Validation & Quality Checks
• Data accuracy, completeness, and consistency stay reliable through the way you check and validate them.
• Duplicates, missing values, and schema mismatches are caught because you monitor them proactively.
• Transformations and aggregations align with business logic thanks to your validation work.
• Schema‑change detection tools remain stable through the solutions you create.
• ETL/ELT Testing
• Data pipelines run correctly because you test extraction, transformation, and loading thoroughly.
• Job runtimes and edge cases stay predictable through your oversight.
• Logging and alerting workflows remain clean and consistent thanks to your maintenance.
• Integration Testing
• System components integrate smoothly because you validate ingestion tools, ETL flows, DBs and APIs.
• Upstream and downstream compatibility is ensured through your testing.
• Performance & Scalability Testing
• Query performance and pipeline throughput stay optimal due to your assessments.
• Large‑volume simulations confirm scalability thanks to how you design load tests.
• IaC & Automation
• Automated DQ rules and test scripts support recurring checks because you build them.
• Frameworks like pytest, Python Deequ, or AWS Glue Data Quality work effectively through your implementation.
• IaC test modules fit into CI/CD pipelines thanks to your integration work.
• Security & Compliance Testing
• Data access, encryption, and GDPR compliance stay controlled through your validation.
• Regression Testing
• Existing functionality remains stable because you verify changes don’t break anything.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Test cases, results, and defects are clearly documented through your structured work.
• Findings reach developers, data engineers, and stakeholders because you communicate them clearly.

You are the ideal candidate for our team if you have / are

Data validation: solid SQL knowhow

Automation and scripting: Python, Pyspark

Data Quality Tools: Deequ, AWS Glue data quality, great expectations.

ETL Tools: Airflow, optionally dbt

Cloud Platforms: AWS

Testing Frameworks: pytest

Version control and CI/CD pipelines: Solid Git knowhow and preferably experience with GitLab pipelines Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards is a plus.
