Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience in software testing, automation, and Agile development practices. You will work closely with experienced QA engineers and developers to support quality initiatives across web, API, and/or mobile applications. This role is ideal for students interested in software engineering, quality assurance, or DevOps who want real-world experience building and maintaining automated tests. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing and developing automated test scripts for web and/or API applications. Support enhancement of existing automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or similar technologies. Help integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) under guidance. Participate in test planning sessions and review feature requirements to understand testing needs. Execute manual and automated test cases and document results. Identify and log defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Analyze test results and collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues. Contribute to maintaining test documentation, including test cases and test plans. Support continuous improvement efforts in test automation and QA processes. Qualifications Required Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#). Understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred (Nice to Have) Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.). Basic understanding of REST APIs and how they work. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Coursework or projects involving software testing or DevOps concepts.
