In this role, you will work as part of a flexible, detail-oriented team and be responsible for design and execution of functional test cases for a complex web application. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the customer to understand software requirements/user stories and provide input regarding design and function. Prepare test cases, test scripts, and test data based on requirements/user stories. Execute manual test scripts and, where applicable, assist with automation or regression testing, report errors and failures. Execute Integration Testing exercises, documentation and test documentation per contract deliverables as well as record test results and compare to expected results. Define severity and priority of system bugs and defects detected. Analyze test results and track software testing metrics. Qualifications: Required: BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. Will consider experience in lieu of degree. Three (3) or more years of work experience in Functional Software Testing in an Agile environment. Experience using test management tools to create, organize, and execute test cases and track defects. Experience designing, documenting, and executing functional test cases based on requirements or user stories. Experience with industry-accepted test and test management tools, with preference for cloud-based solutions. Experience collaborating with technically diverse team. Must be willing to work onsite 3 days a week Willing and able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance. Desired: Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), or Naval Information Warfare Center – Atlantic (NIWC LANT) customers to include defense acquisition, guides, and regulations. Experience developing and managing test data to support functional and integration testing. Knowledge of Software/Systems Engineering using Agile methodologies, with the ability to tailor to a specific system engineering process and software development tools Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Support – hosted environment operations, to include DoD/DoN Information Assurance (IA) requirements and best practices.
