Test Specialist Hybrid | Sydney CBD | Fixed-term contract
We are working with a large, enterprise-level organisation currently delivering a portfolio of technology and business transformation initiatives. An opportunity exists for an experienced Test Specialist to join a collaborative ICT function supporting critical systems and platforms.
This is a hands-on role suited to a testing professional who enjoys working across complex environments and contributing to uplift in quality practices.
Key Responsibilities Test Execution & Documentation Execute test cases across Dev, Test, UAT and Production environments Perform testing across front-end and back-end systems Accurately document test results and defects Support automation testing using tools such as Postman (API) and Cypress (Front End)
Test Planning & Preparation Review and interpret test plans and scripts aligned to project requirements Assist with the preparation of test data and environments
Quality Assurance Ensure testing aligns with organisational standards and best practice Participate in defect triage and resolution processes
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers Provide constructive feedback to improve product quality Contribute to improving testing processes and tools Stay up to date with emerging testing tools and technologies
Essential Experience & Skills 5+ years’ experience in software testing or QA roles Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience) Hands-on experience with automation tools, including Postman and Cypress (Cucumber/Gherkin) Experience with test management and defect tracking tools Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
