About The Team
The Reno PI Studio is responsible for the development of entertaining land-based slot machines. The studio is part of Bluberi's R&D department, which includes other development teams in the US and Canada. Our game development team is comprised of enthusiastic and experienced professionals across multiple disciplines including mathematics, visual arts, software engineering, game design, audio engineering and quality assurance.
Job Summary
The Game Integration Tester III works in parallel with the entire team throughout the game’s development. They will conduct testing and provide game feedback from the very start up until the game is released to external testing.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Create and document test plans specific to each game. Works alongside the developer and game designer throughout the production phase. Thoroughly testing game features and functionality. Identifying and reporting any software glitches. Playing the game for long periods to identify any issues that may arise. Verbally communicating findings to the developers and product team members. Providing feedback to developers on game feel and overall fun factor. Reporting any stability issues. Research technical issues and shares findings with the team. Create and support any game documentation requirements. Other projects and duties as assigned by manager.
Required Skills And Experience
College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience in lieu. 5+ years of experience in QA testing, preferably within the video game industry. Demonstrated knowledge of creating and executing test plans. Experience in running test cases and issue logging. Strong documentation skills. Show creativity and passion for game design and playability. Demonstrated knowledge of SVN and GIT version control tools. Ability to communicate in English highly desired. Demonstrated ability to make key decisions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work as part of a team or independently.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Employment Classification
To determine eligibility for benefits and overtime status and to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, Bluberi uses the following classifications. Employment classifications are based on the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and, as circumstances dictate, Bluberi may review or change employment classifications at any time.
Exempt: Exempt Team members are paid on a salary basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.
Non-exempt: Non-exempt Team members are paid on an hourly basis and are eligible to receive overtime pay for overtime hours worked.
Regular, full time: Team members who are not in a temporary status and work a minimum of 30 hours weekly and maintain continuous employment status. These Team members are eligible for the full-time benefits package and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
Regular, part time: Team members who are not in a temporary status and who are regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours weekly, but at least 20 hours weekly, and who maintain continuous employment status. Part-time Team members are eligible for some of the benefits offered by the company and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
