Senior Oracle Exadata DBA / Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to manage, automate, and support Oracle database platforms, with a strong focus on Exadata and Exadata Cloud. This role combines database administration, automation, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance automation platforms to support database operations teams Perform root cause analysis and implement automation to prevent recurring issues Build tooling to eliminate manual operational “toil” Provide L3 support for Oracle Databases and Exadata Cloud platforms Design and maintain database models Support application teams with database product selection and performance optimization

Required Skills & Experience

Strong Oracle DBA experience (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 23ai) Extensive experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, CRS, and Data Guard Strong knowledge of Exadata (on-prem and Exadata Cloud @ Customer, including Autonomous) Advanced performance tuning expertise Backup, recovery, migration experience (RMAN, Data Pump, Export/Import, Flashback) Strong scripting skills (Bash/KSH, Python) Experience with Ansible, Git/Stash, and JIRA Solid understanding of server, storage, network, and firewall architectures Knowledge of ITIL framework
