Role & seniority: Experienced Test Design Support Engineer (mid‑senior level) in Missile/Defence manufacturing.
Stack/tools: Electronics design and test emphasis across Digital/Analogue, Power Electronics, RF & Antenna, Interconnects, Safety Electronics; Test Systems; Schematic and PCB design; adherence to BS EN standards; strong documentation and stakeholder communication.
Act as the interface between design teams and manufacturing, supporting production activities and problem resolution.
Collaborate with other support engineers to provide knowledge transfer and hands-on support for advanced module missile programmes and launcher assemblies.
Lead discreet work packages, manage bids if applicable, control costs, and deliver solutions on time with robust root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Our client, a global leader in Missile and Defence, partnering with the UK Ministry of Defence, seeks an experienced Test Design Support Engineer. Join their Production Design Support (PDS) team and play a pivotal role in supporting production activities at state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.

Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines: - Digital and Analogue electronics Power Electronics RF & Antenna Interconnects Safety Electronics Test Systems Schematic design PCB Design Adherence to BS EN Standards Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring and a passion for innovation and collaboration. Youll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs. Manage discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions. Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.
