About the Role Are you driven by curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering polished products? At doola, we’re looking for a QA Engineer who is excited to be the quality champion for our rapidly growing platform. You’ll help us build confidence in every release and ensure our customers have a seamless, reliable experience. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to develop and execute thorough manual test plans, catch bugs before they reach our users, and set the standard for QA excellence at doola. You’ll help shape our QA processes, document key behaviors, and be a voice for quality across the company. \n
Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and document comprehensive manual test cases for new and existing product features, thinking critically about edge cases. Test complex UI flows thoroughly by clicking through the product, identifying issues that might not be obvious. Work with APIs using Postman to validate backend functionality. Provide clear evidence of testing through screenshots, Loom videos, and detailed reproduction steps. Write high-quality bug reports that are actionable and easy for the team to reproduce. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements, define test scope, and advocate for quality. Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives, providing QA feedback and helping prioritize fixes. Maintain and update internal documentation on product behavior, key workflows, and edge cases. Communicate proactively with a fully remote, distributed team across time zones.
Skills and Qualifications 2–4 years of manual QA experience in tech startups or SaaS companies. Strong experience with writing detailed bug reports, QA plans, and internal documentation. Comfort using tools such as Jira, Chrome DevTools, Postman, and TestRail (or similar). Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to catch hard-to-find bugs and edge cases. Ability to clearly articulate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong async communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Bonus Qualifications Exposure to basic automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium). Experience with API testing tools like Swagger. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, or basic command-line usage. Experience contributing to internal documentation in Notion, Confluence, or similar. Experience working across multiple platforms (web, mobile, APIs).
