Job Title: PCS 7 / DCS Engineer

Location: Rotterdam

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled PCS 7 / DCS Engineer responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, and lifecycle support of automation systems based on Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7. The role involves participation across the full project lifecycle including system design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and ongoing technical support for process industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities Design and configure PCS 7 systems including CFC, SFC, WinCC/OS, and hardware configuration Develop control logic, interlocks, alarm management, and control narratives Prepare engineering documentation (FDS, I/O lists, Cause & Effect, loop diagrams) Participate in FAT, SAT, integrated testing, and site commissioning Integrate third-party systems using Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet networks Troubleshoot DCS hardware/software issues and optimize system performance Support system upgrades, migrations, and modifications

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering 4+ years of hands-on experience with PCS 7 / DCS systems Strong knowledge of process control principles and industrial networking Experience in site commissioning and startup support Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
