FORGE-MDPAP is the next generation missile warning processing system for the US Space Force. The MDPAP Visualization team leverages web based, Unreal Engine, and backend data ingest and manipulation technologies to seamlessly present in-depth real-time sensor and event data visualization and analytics information to Space Force Guardians to prosecute a "no-fail" mission. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong Python skills and experience with testing tools such as Cucumber, Behave and Playwright to work on the FORGE MDPAP program as part of the Visualization subsystem team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain high-quality code to build automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to test applications, enhancing software quality from the design phase. Work independently and collaboratively with the development team to deliver complex features end to end Contribute to containerized, distributed microservice architectures, including development, deployment, and testing Required Skills & Experience

Clearance required: Secret. The position requires the ability to obtain an interim DoD Secret clearance. Ability to get an interim or active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also agree to participate in a background screen. 5+ years experience. Strong proficiency in Python, including modern language features and best practices. Hands-on experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems. Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using pytest or similar frameworks. Experience with behavior driven development tools such as Cucumber and Behave.

Experience with end-to-end web testing tools (eg: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress) Professional experience working in Linux environments. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Experience with Agile software development methodology. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence. Familiarity with Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts. Desired Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in Python or C++. Domain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing. Experience working on “badge-less” engineering teams on a large National security contract. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher.
