Provide primary technical expertise and leadership for manufacturing issues across Operations, Quality, Customer Support and Supply Chain
Conduct technical audits of suppliers and follow up on corrective actions; develop in-service NDT inspection procedures and Calibration Reference Standards
Review and develop NDT procedures/tech sheets; support Bombardier Experimental group; contribute to R&D on new materials and advanced NDT technologies
Engineering degree or college diploma (Materials, Metallurgy, Mechanical) or equivalent
NAS-410 NDT Level 2 or 3 in Ultrasonic testing; certified in one or more of Radiography, Eddy Current, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, or Infrared Thermography
10+ years’ experience in ultrasonic inspection of aerospace composite materials in production; knowledge of NDT codes, NADCAP, and NDT procedure development
Familiarity with composite NDT methods, aircraft structures, technical drawings; in-line technical auditing; strong problem-solving and leadership; able to work with minimal supervision

What are your contributions to the team? Provide primary technical expertise and leadership in resolving manufacturing issues in the Operations, Quality, Customer Support and Supply Chain departments Perform technical audits of suppliers and follow-up on corrective actions Develop in-service Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection procedures for various aircraft platforms Design NDT Calibration Reference Standard for in-service use Participate to the development of technical documents related to NDT processes Offer NDT expertise and support to the Bombardier Experimental group for the inspection of test rigs Perform technical reviews (Procedures, Technique sheets) of manufacturing NDT processes requiring approval Participate to research and development projects involving new materials and emerging/advanced NDT technologies Be required to handle difficult issues and make challenging technical decisions How to thrive in this role? You hold an engineering degree or a college diploma in engineering (Materials, Metallurgy or Mechanical). Equivalencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis. You are certified as a NAS-410 NDT Level 3 or Level 2 in Ultrasonic testing and you are certified in or have an in-depth knowledge of one of the following inspection methods: Radiography, Eddy Current, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Infrared Thermography testing. You have a minimum of ten years of experience in Ultrasonic inspection of aerospace composite material in a production environment, using automated and/or semi-automated Ultrasonic inspection systems. You are knowledgeable about typical NDT aerospace codes and standards, NADCAP, and with the development of non-destructive inspection procedures. You are familiar with the NDT inspection methodologies of composite materials, assemblies, aircraft structures, aerospace terminology and technical drawings. You know how to conduct NDT technical audits in-line with your field of expertise. You have shown strong leadership, problem solving, project and time/priority management skills in your past assignments and require minimum supervision. You accept to travel occasionally on a last-minute notice. You have a good working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office.
