What we offer (brief)
Do you thrive on building automated, scalable operations for a fast-growing tech company? Are you passionate about scale-ups, technology, and turning manual workflows into clean, automated systems? Are you excited by the idea of owning the automation & systems backbone end-to-end and building the tooling that makes everything run faster and more reliably? Then this role at Agurotech is your next challenge.
About Agurotech Agurotech is an innovative AgTech scale-up company developing data-driven solutions that help farmers increase productivity while reducing resource usage, such as water, pesticides and fertilizers. Our technology already delivers tangible impact in the field, and we’re now scaling operations to support rapid international growth.
The Role: Automating the Backbone As an Operations Automation Engineer (Systems & Integrations), you enable and scale Agurotech’s day-to-day operations through systems, automation, integrations, and data visibility, and you design, execute, and continuously improve Agurotech’s operational backbone, with a strong hands-on focus on process automation, integrations, data visibility, and scalable operational systems.
What Success Looks Like in 6–12 Months Within 6–12 months, Agurotech’s core operational workflows are system-driven rather than manual, with 80%+ of recurring processes automated or standardized. This is achieved through the selection and implementation of a new ERP and supporting operational systems. Real-time dashboards and integrations provide full visibility into inventory, delivery status, and supplier performance. Day-to-day firefighting is significantly reduced as recurring issues are addressed at the root through process redesign and automation, resulting in faster, more predictable operations and a scalable operating backbone ready for international expansion.
What You’ll Do
Process Automation: automate identified manual/fragile workflows (e.g., order-to-delivery, supplier follow-ups, inventory reconciliation, QA check logging, delivery status updates).
Systems & Integrations: Connect tools across operations and with suppliers (back-end data with operations overview, inventory, shipping, ticketing, spreadsheets, internal tooling) using APIs, webhooks, or automation platforms. For example, you might build API integrations between our Operations tool and logistics partners to automate shipment creation, testing results and delivery status updates.
Operational Data & Dashboards: Create reliable KPI reporting and real-time visibility (lead times, stock levels, supplier & product performance, delivery reliability).
Internal Tooling: Build lightweight tools/scripts to standardize operations (templates, order confirmations, trackers, alerting, automated documentation).
Crisis-to-Root-Cause: unblock urgent issues, then prevent repeats through automation and process redesign.
Supply Chain Management: improve supplier follow-ups and performance tracking via automated workflows and scorecards
Production & Inventory: standardize QA/testing logging, production handoffs, and inventory movements with auditable, system-driven processes.
Reliable Delivery: integrate logistics partners and automate shipment creation/status updates to improve on-time delivery.
KPI Ownership: define and maintain operational dashboards and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Who You Are
Automation-first operator: You instinctively ask: “How do we make this run without humans having to interfere?”
Coding/technical: You’re comfortable building solutions yourself (scripting, SQL, APIs, integrations), not only managing tools.
Systems thinker: You can map complex processes end-to-end and simplify them into robust workflows.
Execution-driven: You ship improvements weekly, not quarterly. You fix what breaks and prevent it from breaking again.
Clear communicator: You align suppliers and internal stakeholders with clarity, structure, and calm ownership.
Your Background
Education: Engineering, Industrial/Operations, Supply Chain, Computer/ Data Science, Econometrics & Operations Research or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: At least 5+ years in operations / supply chain / operational excellence / technical program management, ideally in a scale-up.
Hardware/product environment: Experience with technical hardware products, production, testing environments, or field deployments is a major plus.
Languages: Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus.
What We Offer
Impact: A pivotal role in a mission-driven AgTech company with real ownership and visibility.
Build-for-scale: The opportunity to design and automate the operational backbone that powers international scale.
Culture: Direct collaboration within a young and ambitious international team in a flat, fast-moving organization where execution matters.
