Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

Lead and execute principles and control table testing of signalling interlocking systems in simulators & control centers. Perform commissioning fringe testing and verify interfaces between signalling subsystems. Validate signalling control systems, diagrams, screens, and panels against approved design plans and standards. Develop and maintain Principles Test Plans, Commissioning Plans, and associated documentation including strategy for staging works. Plan, coordinate and oversee testing and commissioning activities on and off site. Lead correspondence testing of trackside signalling equipment (points, signals, train detection) from control panels. Monitor, record, and report test progress, faults, and status to project managers and stakeholders. Support integration and testing activities in brownfield environments with existing operational infrastructure. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout commissioning phases. Participate in extended site works, including engineering and commissioning hours as required.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

Extensive experience in railway signalling testing and commissioning, particularly principles and interlocking testing. Strong understanding of interlocking circuitry, control table testing, and signalling principles. Practical competence with CBI/functional simulators and signalling testing tools (e.g., WESTRACE GSIM preferred). Proven ability to interpret design data, data difference lists, and technical specifications accurately. Skilled in producing detailed test documentation, test plans, and test reports. Experience in panel correspondence, aspect sequence testing, and interface validation. Good knowledge of signalling standards, mainline signalling principles, and testing methodologies. Track record working with Siemens signalling systems on mainline projects. Ability to lead site testing activities and work collaboratively with multi‑discipline teams and stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong technical documentation capability.
