Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer II to support software quality initiatives by designing, developing, and executing automated and manual testing solutions. This role focuses on UI and API automation, performance testing, and ensuring high-quality releases within Agile development environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities Design and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing strategies. Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and C#. Perform manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs using industry tools. Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation. Conduct system testing, regression testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Perform backend data validation using SQL and NoSQL databases. Track, document, and manage defects through resolution. Review requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage. Prepare test data and develop automation-ready scenarios. Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Collaborate with development, business, and DevOps teams to support deployments. Contribute to Shift Left testing practices and CI/CD integration. Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications 9+ years of experience in software development or quality engineering. 5+ years of UI automation experience using Selenium WebDriver. 5+ years of experience testing RESTful APIs. 3+ years of performance testing experience using tools such as Apache JMeter. 2+ years of experience working in cloud environments such as AWS. 3+ years of programming experience in Java or C#. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience working in CI/CD environments.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS cloud services. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or CloudWatch. Working knowledge of Python for scripting or automation. Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter. Exposure to testing AI/ML-powered applications.
