Joseph Hage Aaronson & Bremen LLP is an exciting specialist litigation practice based in Holborn, central London. We have built a new model for the provision of litigation services, combining the best qualities of a chambers with those of a traditional law firm.
The Technology Team plays a fundamental part in the business, providing various services to staff, working very closely with other departments, and are integral to shaping the direction and the role of technology within the firm.
What is the role?
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Cloud Automation Engineer to join our Technology Team. This is a unique, hands-on role for a tech professional who is passionate about building solutions and working closely with stakeholders and all staff members.
Your primary mission will be to design, build, and manage automation solutions using Azure Automation, Power Platform, and Azure AI Services. You will be our go-to expert for eliminating repetitive tasks, streamlining business processes, and integrating intelligent services into our systems.
In addition to your automation focus, you will be a key player in supporting our infrastructure, providing hands-on support for both our Azure and on-prem environments, as well as assisting in the administration of our Microsoft 365 tenant.

What will you be doing?
Develop and maintain Azure Automation Runbooks (PowerShell/Python) for operational tasks and service orchestration. Build Power Platform solutions (Power Automate flows, Power Apps, Dataverse) to automate business processes and integrate systems. Incorporate Azure AI Services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) into apps/flows for intelligent automation. Establish monitoring, logging and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Apply secure‑by‑design practices and maintain compliance with organisational policies.
Participate in the management of our Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, Networking, Storage, Entra ID). Assist in supporting our on-prem Windows Server environment, including Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V, Azure Local), and file services. M365 management, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and user-facing security policies (e.g., conditional access, MFA).
Who are we looking for?

Documentation‑first: every automation ships with detailed notes on how all the moving pieces come together.
Collaborative: partner with stakeholders to map processes and deliver iteratively.

Strong Scripting: Proven, hands-on expertise in PowerShell and/or Python.
Azure Experience: Demonstrable experience with Azure services, especially Azure Automation and core IaaS components (VMs, VNETs, Storage).
Power Platform: Hands-on experience building solutions with Power Automate and a solid understanding of Power Apps. You should know how to connect to various data sources and APIs. Experience with Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services).
Infrastructure Foundation: Solid understanding of on-prem systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and general networking concepts.
M365 Knowledge: Experience with the administration of a Microsoft 365 tenant.
Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Bicep/ARM Templates), Azure Policy/Blueprints. Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions. Understanding of identity & access management in Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities. Familiarity with version control and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps). Endpoint management via Intune and Microsoft Defender.
