  • Conduct software supplier surveillance audits and review supplier work products and milestones

  • Facilitate supplier management meetings and ensure timely execution of surveillance and RCCA actions

Must-have skills

  • 8 years with B.S.; or 6 years with M.S.; or 4 years with Ph.D. in relevant field

  • Active DoD Secret clearance (and ability to obtain/maintain SAP if needed)

  • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance processes; experience with audits, data collection, analysis, and metrics; RCCA experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance

  • Experience with Agile processes, Cyber Engineering, project management

  • Training/experience with AS9100 audits

Northrop Grumman Strategic Systems Division is seeking to hire a Sr Principal Software Quality Engineer. This position will be located at the Roy, UT facility.

What You'll Get To Do

Ensure suppliers providing software products, services & support for programs have Quality Management System (QMS) processes & procedures in accordance with contractual requirements. Perform software supplier surveillance audits to assess continued compliance of the supplier's software quality assurance program & software development processes Ensure execution of Software quality assurance (SQA) tasks in compliance with Program, Division, Sector, and Company processes. Attend software supplier formal milestone reviews Review software supplier work products (plans, procedures, specifications, etc) to ensure compliance to contractual requirements Support to supplier management team meetings to ensure efficient execution of surveillance

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications

8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Knowledgeable of Software Quality Assurance processes. Experience in performing audits, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting Experience with root cause corrective actions (RCCA).

Preferred Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance. Knowledge of Agile development processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Cyber Engineering processes. Project management experience Training in performing AS9100 audits

Primary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
