  • Manage and maintain plant computer automation hardware/software, PLC systems, and networked control/instrumentation systems.

  • Design, install, revise, and maintain electrical and instrumentation installations; ensure safety compliance and system performance.

  • Provide technical support/troubleshooting for plant LAN/WAN, telecom, and IT-related activities; supervise applicable personnel; coordinate tech changes with operations.

Must-have skills

  • 2-year degree in Electricity/Electronics (or related); 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Process Controls preferred.

  • Minimum ~3 years of electrical/automation experience in industrial manufacturing.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and written/verbal English communication; ability to read/written instructions and operate engineering software/hardware.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-year Electrical Engineering/Process Controls degree; prior IT-plant liaison experience; ability to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and under supervision on non-routin

  • The Automation Engineer performs engineering technician duties in the areas of plant computer network systems management, control, instrumentation, electronics. This position provides technical support to other plant personnel and includes after-hours work/callouts to support the plant operations. The position supervises electricians and other wage positions associated with Automation Engineering functions.
