Job Description We are currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help build, enhance, and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Sage, you will collaborate with a wider team of developers and manual testers, and ensure our products meet high quality standards. You’ll be involved in designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts, identifying areas for process improvement, and supporting CI/CD efforts.
*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Cluj office. ***
Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate application functionality across complex web projects. Take ownership of automation initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and expanding test coverage. Collaborate with developers and manual testers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle and improve overall product quality. Write reliable, maintainable test scripts and ensure good coverage of critical functionality. Use AI copilots and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts. Continuously learn and adapt to new automation technologies while mentoring others and fostering a collaborative, learning-focused culture.
Requirements Strong practical experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools. Proficient in JavaScript, with an openness to learning Python or other programming languages as required. Experience using tracking tools like Jira and integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines. Proven success working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams. Nice to Have Familiarity with other automation frameworks as well as performance and security testing tools. Experience with AI-assisted development practices and utilizing AI copilots to enhance productivity.
